Course Outline

The DASH is the only multi-task test of handwriting speed available in the UK. With norms for children aged 9-16 years, the DASH is proving popular as a means of obtaining a reliable measure of handwriting speed, when collecting evidence for Access Arrangements. It also yields a range of supplementary information, helpful in the planning of support for those with handwriting difficulties. This one-day course is aimed at teachers, educational psychologists, occupational therapists and other professionals who would find a test of handwriting speed useful. It will provide delegates with information on the background, development and psychometric properties of the test. Details will be provided on how to administer and score the test, with hands-on practical sessions. There will also be discussion of how to interpret test scores, with examples from case studies.
